Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator/Surveyor to join a growing commercial team across property maintenance, refurbishment and repairs in London. You will scope, measure and cost works, producing fully priced scopes of works for varied refurbishment projects.

You will prepare BOQs, cost plans and quotations, price labour and materials, and support tendering, variations and final accounts. Strong Excel and NHF/SOR experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating and pricing construction, refurbishment, repairs, maintenance or void works.
• Strong site surveying, measurement and quantity take-off experience.
• Experience using NHF Schedule of Rates, SORs or similar pricing systems.
• Experience preparing BOQs, schedules of works and cost plans.
• Valuations, variations, cost control and commercial reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Attend sites across London to scope, survey and measure works.
• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations using NHF Schedule of Rates, internal SORs and benchmarked London rates.
• Produce Bills of Quantities, schedules of works, cost plans and pricing documents.
• Price labour, materials, preliminaries, overheads and profit.
• Prepare client-facing quotations within agreed timescales.
• Hand fully priced scopes to Site Managers for delivery.
• Support tendering, bid analysis and subcontractor procurement.
• Assess subcontractor quotations and payment applications.
• Price and value variations.
• Support interim valuations and final accounts.
• Track project costs, variations and profitability.
• Produce commercial reports and highlight risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and pricing libraries.
• Provide commercial advice to operations teams and stakeholders.
