Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking an experienced Estimator for a specialist contractor in hard metal roofing, cladding and façade systems. Based near Waltham Abbey, the role involves preparing tender submissions, take-offs from drawings, and cost calculations for projects from £200k to £4M+.

You will use Excel and Bluebeam, compile bills of quantities, present bids to clients on-site visits, and work within a busy pre-construction team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in flat roofing systems preferred
• Experience with rainscreen cladding and fire stopping systems beneficial
• Proficient in extracting quantities from drawings and preparing tender submissions

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender submissions and take-offs from drawings
• Interpret specifications and use Excel to a high standard
• Calculate project rates including labour, materials and preliminaries
• Produce scope-marked drawings using Bluebeam
• Attend handover meetings with design and management teams
• Maintain detailed records of tender submissions, queries and RFIs
• Travel to meet clients on-site and negotiate pricing
