Commercial Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator in the UK to lead tendering for complex building projects. You will work with the Bid Manager and pre-construction teams to develop competitive bids, benchmark costs and drive value engineering.

The role requires extensive experience in pricing major building schemes, strong commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail. A major UK contractor environment offers exposure to high-value tenders and career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years' experience in construction essential.
• Proven experience as Senior Estimator in a main contractor environment.
• Strong first-principles estimating ability.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Produce competitive, net cost estimates for traditional and non-traditional bids.
• Carry out accurate quantity take-offs for estimating purposes.
• Input labour, plant and materials into estimating systems.
• Issue and vet material and subcontract enquiries to support net cost pricing.
• Establish value engineering opportunities to gain a competitive edge.
• Identify risks in tender schemes and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare tender letters, technical notes and qualifications.
