Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is partnering with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to appoint a Senior Estimator for the North West region, with travel across projects in Manchester and Liverpool. The role offers a permanent contract, a competitive salary, and a company car or cash allowance.

You will support the bid team, prepare cost plans, and help deliver accurate estimates across education, healthcare, and residential schemes, with flexible/agile working options.

Qualifications

• Must have HNC-level qualification at minimum.
• Experience taking-off quantities and cost planning is essential.
• Proficiency with Conquest estimating software and Excel reporting is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and cost plans for bids.
• Support bid team to meet deadlines and obtain competitive quotes.
• Travel across North West England for project sites and data gathering.
• Communicate bid strategy and findings clearly to the construction team.

An opportunity for a Senior Estimator has arisen with a large Tier one main contractor. They have an increase in secured frameworks and would like to increase their Estimating team.

Required

• You will need to be able to provide or obtain the right to work in the UK.
• You will need to be able to drive and provide or obtain a full UK Driving Licence to travel across our projects.
• Are you an experienced Senior Estimator or Estimator and looking for that step up in your career?
• You will have a HNC standard qualification as a minimum.
• Be able to demonstrate ability to take-off quantities and be proficient in using Conquest estimating software, creating Excel reports and have cost planning knowledge and experience.
• Support the bid team to achieve deadlines and obtain the most competitive quotes by understanding current market trends.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and cost plans.
• Utilise, interpret and represent benchmark data and assess tender documentation, requirements and report findings to team.
• Effectively communicate bid strategy and solutions to construction team.
