Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Senior Estimator to join the Anglian Water one Alliance in Peterborough. You will shape major capital projects from concept to delivery, supporting a diverse portfolio including water treatment works, pipelines and storage schemes.

The role offers hybrid working within a collaborative Alliance environment. You will mentor junior estimators, develop estimating capability across the Alliance, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and value-driven

Qualifications

• Significant estimating experience within infrastructure, utilities, water or construction sectors.

Responsibilities

• Estimate CAPEX across optioning, outline and detailed design stages.
• Develop robust cost plans and estimates to support investment decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define scope, identify risks and assess buildability.
• Engage with supply chain partners to obtain quotations.
• Prepare estimates using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Provide expert advice on design requirements and cost impacts.
• Challenge project assumptions to ensure value for money.
