Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Lincoln is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Major Water Projects within the @one Alliance. You will lead large-scale schemes from scoping to handover, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects valued from £30m to £90m with a strong focus on safety, compliance and quality.

This hybrid role offers flexible working within an active alliance delivering essential water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects valued at £30m+.
• Experience in the water industry or strong major construction background.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, drinking water standards and CDM regulations with IOSH qualification.
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• APMP qualification and ability to challenge stakeholders.
• Experience with NEC Option C contracts.
• Track record of leading and developing teams in a performance-driven environment.
• Ability to operate strategically while delegating and supporting the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects from scoping through construction, handover and warranty management.
• Ensure CDM compliance across TOTEX Delivery Process and promote Zero Harm.
• Build high-performing, inclusive teams across engineering, commercial and project colleagues.
• Translate programme strategy into deliverable project outcomes.
• Maintain cost and resource forecasts with Planning teams and escalate issues.
• Oversee proposed solutions to ensure safety, viability and fit for purpose.
• Deliver key milestones, including Project Rehearsals and Fit for Assembly.
• Promote knowledge sharing across the alliance and partner organisations.
