Job summary

Constructive Moves is seeking a Senior Estimator based in Hertfordshire to manage tendering and estimating for multiple sectors. The role requires experience with new-build development and familiarity with UK contracting frameworks.

You will prepare detailed estimates, review drawings and documents, and manage cost comparisons using Bluebeam, Estimate and Excel. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with hybrid working arrangements. Salary is assessed on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and tender preparation.
• Ability to measure drawings and prepare bills of quantities using software like Bluebeam and Estimate, and Excel for cost comparisons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and commercial submissions for allocated tenders.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Prepare measured quantities and bills of quantities to support tender pricing.
• Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify and assess tender risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Assist on post-tender commercial negotiations and supporting handover to project delivery teams.
