Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is hiring a Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team in Milton Keynes. You will manage cost plans, tenders and estimates for mixed sectors up to £20m, coordinating across design, commercial and operational groups to ensure competitive pricing and accurate forecasts.

You will lead multiple projects, mentor junior staff and strive for accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, contributing to a collaborative, results-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator in construction with main contractor exposure.
• Experience on new build or refurbishment schemes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, tenders and estimates for multiple projects.
• Lead the estimating process across several schemes.
• Collaborate with design, commercial and operations teams.
• Coordinate with supply chain to secure competitive pricing.

The Role

You will join a busy preconstruction team working on a mix of new build, refurbishment, alteration and fit‑out projects up to £20m. Work spans multiple sectors including Education, Healthcare, Community, Industrial, Leisure & Retail and Commercial Buildings.

Working hours: 8.30am 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost plans, tenders and estimates
• Leading the estimating process across multiple projects
• Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams
• Liaising with supply chain partners to secure competitive pricing
• Supporting junior team members where required

About You

• Experienced Estimator within the construction industry
• Background working for a main contractor on new build or refurbishment schemes
• Self-directed, organised and highly motivated
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong team player with good communication skills
