Job summary

Hill & Hill Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Drylining Estimator to price construction projects ranging from £1–£5M, with involvement on larger tenders up to £10M. You will operate within a five-person work-winning team based in Leicestershire, joining one of the country’s oldest drylining subcontractors.

The successful candidate will be experienced in take-offs, be trained in first principles estimating, and contribute to a collaborative, career-driven culture with clear progression opportunities.

Job description

The current Estimating Director started with the company as a Trainee just nine years ago and now leads the preconstruction department for an £80M drylining business. This is testament to professional development being embedded in the culture. They also have a low staff turnover. Most people stay with the business, develop their careers and progress.

Based out of their head office in Leicestershire, you will join a supportive team of five within the work-winning department. You will be joining one of the oldest drylining subcontractors in the country, with the brand, reputation and systems to help you succeed.

The Estimating Director is very hands-on and is actively involved with the team, particularly during busy periods. He is a genuinely good person to work for and fosters a strong team culture and fun working environment.

As a Drylining Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing projects ranging from £1 - £5M or part of a team on larger projects up to £10M. This role has come up due to an increase in tender enquiries.

The business uses On Centre for take-offs alongside its own bespoke internal pricing system, with established templates and historic project data available to support you.

In order to be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of pricing drylining projects and be trained in first principals estimating.
