We Are Footprint in Penrith, Cumbria, is recruiting a Senior Estimator to own tenders for civils and groundworks and support growth. You will review drawings and tender docs, price works from first principles, and manage subcontractor quotes.

The role demands commercial acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and effective negotiation with clients and suppliers. The ideal candidate has prior senior estimator experience in civils and groundworks, with strong knowledge of civil packages and

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civils and groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, infrastructure and civil engineering packages.
• Experience pricing projects from initial enquiry through tender submission.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Confident managing multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for civils and groundworks projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Producing detailed take-offs and pricing works from first principles.
• Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities within tenders.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Working closely with the commercial and delivery teams to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.
