Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join the Social Infrastructure, Nuclear and Defence pre-construction team. The role covers a broad portfolio including regional civil projects, flood defence schemes, water and wastewater frameworks, and nuclear/defence infrastructure.

You will work with an established team, coordinating with bid and project teams, to develop safe, buildable, and value-driven solutions across diverse opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant civil engineering or infrastructure estimating experience.
• Proven track record leading complex estimates and tender submissions.
• Experience pricing a wide range of civil disciplines and construction methods.
• Understanding of NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with bid teams, estimating, and pre-construction colleagues.
• Deliver cost estimates at multiple design stages and multiple budget iterations.
• Support ECI budgeting, value engineering, and Construction Target Cost work.
• Lead optioneering, feasibility studies, and multidisciplinary solutions.
• Prepare tender documentation and communicate results at reviews.
• Ensure compliance with BAM bid governance.
