Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its Social Infrastructure, Nuclear and Defence pre-construction team. You will help develop safe, buildable, and value-driven estimates for diverse civil projects across England and Wales, working with bid teams and project partners in a flexible, hybrid setup.

You will coordinate with estimators and ECI teams, deliver cost estimates at multiple design stages, and support value engineering and tender preparation, while ensuring governance

Qualifications

• Degree, HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive civil engineering/infrastructure estimating and tendering experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex estimates and bid submissions.
• Experience pricing multiple civil disciplines; strong construction methods knowledge.
• Understanding of NEC contracts.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with bid teams and pre-construction groups to secure opportunities.
• Deliver cost estimates across design and scope stages with multiple iterations.
• Support ECI project budgets, value engineering and construction target cost preparation.
• Contribute to option studies and multidisciplinary solution development.
• Liaise with clients, designers, consultants and supply chain partners during tendering.
• Prepare and administer tender documentation, queries and supplier enquiries and tender summaries.
