Job summary

The American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking a Senior Estimator near Winchester, Hampshire to own the tendering process for civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure projects. You will review drawings and specs, price subcontractors, and drive competitive bids to win work.

Based in the South of England, you will liaise with pre-construction, commercial and operations teams, manage risk and value opportunities, and contribute to project delivery with a strong client focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of groundworks, civils and construction methodologies.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience pricing subcontractor, plant, labour and material costs.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.

The Role

Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering?

Youll join a growing business with an established presence across the South of England, working on a varied portfolio of civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure projects.

Youll take ownership of tenders from initial review through to submission, using your commercial and technical knowledge to produce accurate, competitive bids and help secure new work.

What Youll Need

Essential

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering.

Desirable

• Experience across groundworks, infrastructure, remediation or earthworks.
• Experience working on both private and public-sector projects.
• HNC/HND or relevant construction/civil engineering qualification.
• Strong knowledge of estimating software and Excel.
