Job summary

The Highfield Company in Kent is seeking an Estimator - Architectural Metalwork to price projects in the architectural metalwork/steelwork sector. You will report to the Sales Director, own estimate submissions, and drive on-time delivery while engaging with clients and designers.

With a strong focus on accuracy, negotiation, and timely handovers to production, you will play a key role in securing projects and building lasting stakeholder relationships across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in pricing projects within the architectural metalwork or steelwork sectors.
• Diligent and ambitious with a profound understanding of construction.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver estimates promptly.
• Proven track record in similar roles is essential.
• Exceptional time management skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in client and designer interactions with negotiation skills is valued.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Sales Director and own assigned estimate submissions.
• Manage client expectations and ensure timely delivery of all estimates.
• Attend estimating and pre-contract meetings as necessary.
• Lead handover meetings to transition secured projects to production and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants.
