Job description

Senior Estimator - Civil Engineering & Rail

Our client, a large prestigious main contractor, is currently recruiting for 2 Senior Estimators to work on several civil engineering frameworks within rail & highways.

Location:

Warrington

Remuneration:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum plus car/car allowance & benefits

The Role:

1. Ensure all tender correspondence is recorded and logged.
2. Review tender documentation and provide feasibility advice.
3. Coordinate tender preparation documents from other departments, ensuring they meet client requirements.
4. Ensure estimates account for applicable legislation and industry standards on health, safety, quality, and environment.
5. Prepare technical and commercial information for submission, identify opportunities/risks, and evaluate options.
6. Prepare bills of quantities/schedule of rates for tenders and first principle estimates.
7. Submit tender queries/clarifications.
8. Request and review subcontractor enquiries, ensuring compliance and inclusion in estimates.
9. Monitor contract compliance with statutory requirements.

Requirements:

1. Experience in first principles estimating.
2. Civil engineering tender background.
3. Strong stakeholder management skills.
