Job summary

One Construction Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its civil engineering pre-construction team. The role offers hybrid working and a chance to work on diverse infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will prepare tenders, review documentation, and develop robust cost estimates while engaging with clients and internal teams to drive value. The ideal candidate will have senior estimating experience in civil engineering, strong commercial awareness, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Estimator or Estimator in civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of estimating principles and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

I'm recruiting on behalf of a highly respected specialist civil engineering contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex infrastructure, structural refurbishment and engineering projects across the UK.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

The Role

• Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Produce cost estimates, pricing and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and innovative solutions.
• Support bid submissions and contribute to winning future projects.

About You

• Previous experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimator within civil engineering.
• Experience within concrete repairs, structural refurbishment or bridges would be advantageous, but is by no means essential.
• Strong understanding of estimating principles and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ambitious, organised and keen to be part of a collaborative team.
