Job summary

Fawkes and Reece are partnering with a regional contractor in West Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Estimator. You will manage tenders from enquiry to handover, working on D&B and traditional contracts, with typical project values from £500k to £15m.

The role involves presenting at tender meetings, preparing budgets and estimates, and coordinating with surveyors to develop rates and BOQ. Monday–Friday, with a strong pension and parking included.

Responsibilities

• Attend tender presentations for new projects, contribute, lead commercially and present.
• Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for contracts.
• Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement.
• Work with surveyors in preparation of quantified schedule of rates and bill of quantities.
• Prepare tender summaries and attend start-up pre-price and price meetings.
• Assist in preparation for settlement meeting enquiries whether risk register, prelims and labour rates have been done.

Are you an experienced Estimator looking for a fresh start or an exciting change with career progression?

Fawkes and Reece are proud to be working with a regional contractor who are recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. You will be working on projects that would be typically ranging from £500k - £15m in value. You will be responsible to tenders from enquiry to handover within their commercial team working on both D&B and traditional forms of contract.

Duties include but are not limited to;

• Attend tender presentations for new projects, contribute, lead commercially and present. Prioritisation of all tenders
• Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for contracts.
• Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement.
• Work with surveyors in preparation of quantified schedule of rates and bill of quantities.
• Prepare tender summaries and attend start-up pre-price and price meetings.
• Assist in preparation for settlement meeting enquiries whether risk register, prelims and labour rates have been done.
