Job summary

Checkmate Fire Solutions in Harlow, Essex, is seeking a commercially driven Estimator to join our team. You will prepare detailed estimates for passive fire protection projects and lead pricing for tenders, ensuring profitability and competitive bids.

You will work closely with clients, suppliers and operational teams, develop pricing strategies and cost models, attend site visits, and support handover from estimating to delivery while identifying process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in construction estimating and project costing.
• Excellent commercial awareness and numerical/analytical skills.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience within passive fire protection, fire stopping or fire doors would be highly advantageous.
• A good understanding of construction standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Someone who is commercially minded, proactive and enjoys working as part of a growing team.
