Job summary

Sunblink in the Edinburgh area is seeking a Senior Estimator to take ownership of estimating large-scale infrastructure and structural steel packages. You will work directly with Tier 1 main contractors on bids, tenders and negotiated projects, shaping pricing strategy and value engineering.

There is real scope to grow the function and lead the estimating team in time, with autonomy at senior level. On-site work is primary, with hybrid flexibility discussed with the client.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the structural steel sector.
• Confident dealing with Tier 1 contractors and familiar with their processes.
• Strong understanding of take-offs, pricing strategy, and tender submissions.
• Commercially astute with the ability to protect margin while remaining competitive.
• Ambitious and driven - whether you want to stay hands-on at senior level or grow into leading the function, this role can flex to suit.

We're representing a highly regarded, forward-thinking steel fabrication business with an outstanding reputation across major infrastructure and a strong pipeline of high-profile work. They're looking for a Senior Estimator to take ownership of estimating activity on large-scale structural steel packages, working directly with Tier 1 main contractors on bids, tenders, and negotiated projects.
