As part of a team of Commercial Estate Surveyors and Project Managers, this role supports the strategic management of the council’s extensive portfolios to meet priorities and optimize income. Working with external consultants and in-house teams, we will rely on your professional expertise, communication, and problem-solving skills to enhance portfolio performance.

We are recruiting a Senior Commercial Property Estates Surveyor on a 2-year contract to manage and execute the council’s disposal strategy. Responsible for achieving capital receipts of £20 million, you will identify and manage disposals, work with external agents, and provide strategic property advice across council services.
The role offers a varied workload, working with colleagues and consultants to deliver effective management in line with the Corporate Asset Plan, supporting the local economy and community.
You should have experience communicating at a senior level, managing strategically and creatively, with a proven track record in property disposals and management. RICS membership and enthusiasm for property’s role in strategic aims are essential.

Your salary will be pro-rata if the position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
