Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is partnering with a major UK retailer to appoint a Senior Estates Manager who will take a leading role in the strategic management of its national property portfolio. This is more than a traditional estates role.

You will be a key partner to the Property Director, leading the Estates function, developing the team and shaping the longer-term strategy for a large and evolving store estate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the estates team.
• Shape portfolio strategy and identify key risks and opportunities.
• Lead complex lease renewals, re-gears and other lease events.
• Assess stores for retention, relocation, closure or lease extension.
• Build strategic relationships with major landlords.
• Provide commercially focused recommendations to senior leadership.
• Work closely with acquisitions, development, operations and finance.

Cobalt is partnering with a major UK retailer is looking to appoint a Senior Estates Manager to take a leading role in the strategic management of its substantial national property portfolio.

This is more than a traditional estates role. You will act as a key partner to the Property Director, leading the Estates function, developing the team and helping shape the longer-term strategy for a large and evolving store estate.

We are looking for an experienced estates professional with strong lease advisory knowledge, commercial judgement and previous leadership experience. You will be comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on when required.

Retail experience would be advantageous but isn't essential, with candidates from leisure and other multi-site property environments also considered. Based in the North West, the role offers hybrid working with approximately two office days per week.
