Job summary

Allen & York is recruiting a Senior Environmental Specialist for its London team. You’ll lead and contribute to ESIA, EIA, ESMS and other environmental studies on major infrastructure, transport, urban development and planning projects across the UK, Middle East and Africa.

The role blends technical leadership, project management, client engagement and business development, with opportunities for international travel and exposure to globally significant projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in ESIA/EIA consulting.
• Strong report writing and project delivery skills.
• Experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of international environmental and social safeguard standards (IFC, World Bank, EBRD, AfDB).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree (and ideally postgraduate qualification) in an environmental discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental and social assessment workstreams on major infrastructure projects.
• Deliver ESIA, EIA, ESMS and related environmental studies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist consultants.
• Support client engagement, proposal development and business growth.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team development.
• Travel internationally as required to support project delivery.
