Job summary

T. Rowe Price in the UK is looking for a senior Python developer to join its ESG Technology team.

You will work on in-flight and greenfield projects, leveraging a mix of Python, Pandas/Polars, Postgres, Snowflake, and cloud technologies to deliver robust data analytics in a fast-moving financial services environment. You will engage with business and technology partners, lead projects, and help manage technical debt while delivering high-quality code and solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Python development with data-focused libraries (Pandas/Polars).
• Experience with Postgres and Snowflake, handling large datasets.
• Cloud-based development with Linux, Docker, AWS, and Gitlab.
• Background in quantitative analysis is beneficial for problem solving.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (React/Typescript) is a plus.
• A collaborative, Agile/Scrum oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and deliver complex ESG data analytics tools.
• Engage with business and technology partners to define problems.
• Elicit requirements and contribute to roadmap planning.
• Lead projects or work streams and mentor teammates.
