Job summary

Schindler Ltd (UK) is seeking an Escalator Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support across the UK business. The role involves working with field engineers, project teams and customers to resolve complex escalator faults and support major projects, commissioning and service activities.

This national field-based position requires regular travel to customer sites, with overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable escalator system knowledge and product familiarity.
• Experience in installation, modernisation, service, repair or maintenance.
• Strong fault diagnosis and on-site troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to provide technical support across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for escalator projects and services.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex faults and on-site investigations.
• Conduct safety, quality, and acceptance inspections on projects.
• Support commissioning, testing and handover activities.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve reliability and performance.
• Contribute to tenders, planning, and customer discussions.
