Zachary Daniels are delighted to be partnering with an established business to recruit a Senior Employee Relations Advisor. The ideal candidate will come from a hospitality or retail background.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ER professional who enjoys building strong relationships, coaching managers and providing practical advice across a varied caseload.

Working closely with the wider People team, you will play a key role in ensuring employee relations matters are managed fairly and consistently, balancing the needs of colleagues with a commercial approach.

The Role

As Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will be a trusted point of contact for managers, supporting them through ER issues and developing their confidence in managing people matters.

Alongside case management, you will have the opportunity to contribute to training, policy development and improvements to the way ER support is delivered.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing practical advice on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Managing a varied ER caseload, maintaining momentum and escalating complex or sensitive matters where appropriate.
  • Coaching managers through formal processes, helping them reach fair and informed decisions.
  • Building strong relationships with managers and People colleagues across the business.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and using data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Supporting the delivery of ER training and the introduction of new or updated policies.
  • Assisting with tribunal preparation, ACAS liaison and employee information requests.
  • Contributing to wider People projects and continuous improvement.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an approachable and confident ER professional who can provide clear advice, influence stakeholders and work through sensitive situations with care and sound judgement.

You will bring:

  • Experience managing ER cases and advising managers, including senior stakeholders.
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and an understanding of employment tribunal processes.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • A pragmatic, commercial approach, with the ability to assess risk and recommend appropriate next steps.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload.
  • A collaborative approach and an interest in improving processes and ways of working.

This is an opportunity to bring your ER expertise to a role where you can influence decisions, build management capability and make a positive difference to the employee experience.
