Job summary

Sizewell C is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead development and delivery of its sustainability strategy across a major infrastructure project. You will drive performance in carbon, circular economy, water, responsible sourcing, and BREEAM Infrastructure certification, shaping decisions with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable leadership experience, including leading high-performing teams and developing people.
• Significant experience within major infrastructure, construction, or other complex capital projects.
• Significant proven experience in environmental sustainability.
• Deep technical expertise across environmental sustainability disciplines, including carbon management and PAS2080, water, circular economy, sustainable procurement, and BREEAM Infrastructure.
• Proven experience developing and implementing sustainability strategies and translating them into measurable outcomes.
• Experience influencing senior executives, regulators, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Membership in professional organisations such as ISEP, ICE, CIWEM or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of Sizewell C's Environmental Sustainability strategy.
• Drive sustainability performance across the project.
• Provide strategic leadership across carbon, circular economy, water, responsible sourcing, and BREEAM Infrastructure certification.
• Manage sustainability programmes from inception through to delivery.
• Influence and engage senior leaders, regulators, suppliers and key project stakeholders.
• Lead a high-performing team.
