Job summary

VRS Regulatory in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced environmental risk assessment and exposure modelling specialist to join a scientific consultancy serving chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial clients.

You will conduct regulatory-exposed risk assessments, develop PEC/PNEC and RCRs, perform exposure modelling with USES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreat, and provide clear technical advice to clients on diverse risk assessment projects.

Qualifications

Must have strong background in environmental risk assessment and exposure modelling or chemical risk assessment.
Experience with UK/EU REACH, EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreat is valuable.
Relevant scientific background in environmental science, chemistry, ecotoxicology, toxicology or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Conduct environmental exposure and risk assessments.
Develop PEC/PNEC assessments and Risk Characterisation Ratios (RCRs).
Undertake exposure modelling using EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreat.
Develop and refine exposure scenarios using ERCs, SPERCs and site-specific data.
Review environmental fate, ecotoxicity, emissions and monitoring data.
Prepare Chemical Safety Reports, Exposure Scenarios and eSDS.
Provide clear technical and regulatory advice to clients.
