Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Blantyre, UK, is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead environmental management across Core, Strategic and HVDC portfolios, translating policy into practical plans and ensuring delivery and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Head of Quality, Environmental and IMS, you will manage a team of environmental specialists, engage with regulators and stakeholders, drive governance, risk management and continual improvement, and contribute to RIIO-T3

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Environmental management within complex Engineering/Construction programmes.
• Degree in Environmental/Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading Environmental teams and deploying resources across portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental Management across Core, Strategic and HVDC portfolios.
• Translate strategy into practical controls and delivery plans.
• Manage environmental risk, assurance, audits and non‑compliances.
• Collaborate with regulators, authorities, and delivery partners.
• Drive governance, reporting and continual improvement across the portfolio.
