Job summary

STRABAG is seeking an Environmental Consents Lead in Manchester to drive the planning, submission and approval of environmental consents including water, discharges and permits. You will liaise with Environment Agency, CL:AIRE and local authorities, coordinate documentation and ensure timely compliance with consent conditions.

You will provide expert guidance on regulatory obligations to project teams, manage risk, and hand over obligations to delivery teams, supporting a compliant, on-time

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent experience (min 4 years).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.
• Experience producing environmental consent applications.
• Experience identifying and mitigating consent-related risks.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of EIA commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, planning, tracking, submission and approval of environmental consents.
• Liaise with regulators, EA, CL:AIRE and local planning authorities.
• Coordinate submission of consent applications and supporting information.
• Ensure timely discharge of consent conditions and statutory approvals.
• Maintain the environmental consents register with deadlines and risks.
• Provide technical guidance on consenting requirements to project teams.
• Act as liaison with regulators, consultees, authorities and stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate consent-related risks and opportunities.
• Handover post-consent obligations to delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in consent management processes.
