Job Description:

Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK to deliver its net zero commitments? If so, we’d love to hear from you at AECOM.

Join our established Environmental Impact (EIA) team, which includes over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland. We are committed to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and hold the IEMA EIA Quality Mark.

We offer flexible office locations across the UK and Ireland and a hybrid working model. Our projects span energy generation, distribution, rail, highways, regeneration, and various sectors like ecommerce, water, defense, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Expertise: Coordinate environmental inputs for reports, assessments, and statements throughout all project stages, including site studies, feasibility, design, construction, and operation.
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards in all deliverables.
  • Project Management: Develop skills in resource and budget coordination.
  • Collaborate: Work with design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify impacts, and mitigation opportunities.
  • Client Contact: Engage directly with clients and internal teams.
  • Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services and support business development.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in a relevant environmental discipline, preferably with a Master’s, and professional membership.
  • Experience in EIA consultancy, report preparation, and technical review.
  • Understanding of consenting regimes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate technical inputs.
  • Developing project management skills.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Experience with DCO and TWAO regimes is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong verbal and report writing skills, stakeholder engagement confidence.
