Job summary

Egis Group is seeking an Environmental Consultant / Project Manager to lead high‑profile environmental assessments for major infrastructure projects. The role is hybrid and based in London, Manchester or Bristol, with responsibility from inception through delivery and client engagement.

You will manage teams, ensure regulatory compliance and foster strong client relationships while mentoring junior staff and contributing to innovative environmental solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading EIA/EIAR delivery on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning and environmental legislation, policy and practice.
• Experience supporting or leading public consultation and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent project management skills, balancing priorities, resources, budgets and deadlines.
• Strong technical, analytical and writing abilities; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of EIA/EIAR projects from inception to reporting.
• Provide environmental input to project design, data collection, analysis and assessment.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, sub‑contractors, clients and stakeholders.
• Review EIA chapters and technical reports for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets, fees, invoicing, programmes and client expectations.
• Support public consultation, stakeholder engagement, hearings and RFIs.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, scopes and third‑party specifications.
• Strengthen client relationships and identify future collaboration opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and stay abreast of environmental policy and innovation.
