We are looking for a Senior level environmental professional to support our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the UK, based from any of WSP’s UK offices. Our portfolio includes projects in sectors such as renewables, aviation, nuclear, and rail. We seek individuals with a creative spirit, a dedicated approach, and a solid grounding in environmental design, assessment, and management throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

1. Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers, and colleagues.
2. Collaborating with specialists, clients, and engineering teams to promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement.
3. Managing environmental inputs, including EIA screening, scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, management plans, and Environmental Statements.
4. Overseeing project performance regarding technical quality, safety, and commercial aspects.
5. Building client relationships and supporting business development activities.
6. Contributing to innovative techniques and promoting a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture.
7. Mentoring junior colleagues and fostering an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Relevant environmental degree qualification in EIA or similar.
• Working towards or achieved Chartered Environmental Status and IEMA membership or equivalent.
• Experience in EIA processes and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and project management.
• Strong communication skills, report writing, and attention to detail.
