Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant - Environmental Compliance & Permitting to join our Ireland-based team, with a base in Dublin, Cork or Belfast and a flexible hybrid work model. You will lead environmental licensing, audits and regulatory advisory projects across Ireland’s pharma, manufacturing, technology, energy and infrastructure sectors.

The role requires knowledge of Irish/European legislation, strong report writing, and the ability to mentor junior staff while coordinating

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working in an industrial or consultancy environment.
• Proven track record in delivering environmental licensing and compliance services, including preparation of associated documentation.
• Extensive working knowledge of Irish and European environmental legislation.
• Excellent report writing, technical reviewing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental compliance, permitting (including Industrial Emissions licensing) and regulatory advisory projects for clients across Ireland.
• Undertake environmental compliance audits, gap assessments, site inspections and legislative reviews.
• Identify environmental compliance risks and develop practical corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submissions, including Industrial Emissions Licence applications and amendments; Environmental Compliance Audit Reports; Environmental Liability Risk Assessments; Closure, Restoration and Aftercare Management Plans; Solvent Management Plans; and Environmental compliance registers and assessments.
