HS2 Ltd. is seeking a Senior Environmental and Consents Advisor to support the Environmental Delivery team in Birmingham.
You will promote environmental awareness, ensure compliance with legislation, monitor site performance and drive continuous improvement across major assets including bridges and tunnels. The role requires an environmental/science degree and relevant experience, plus knowledge of EMS/ISO 14001 and multiple environmental disciplines.

Current Opportunity: Senior Environment and Consents Advisor – Environment Delivery
Based in Birmingham - the Central Region runs from the east of Birmingham into the city centre, comprising Sublot Delta, 1B, 4 and 5S. More than 50% of the structures within IPT Area North are located in the Central Region. This region, which covers a complex urban environment, also includes the 3.5 mile twin bore Bromford Tunnel. It also includes Interchange Station, as well as crossing three major highways (A45, M6 and M42).
The Environmental Advisor will support construction teams by providing expert environmental advice, ensuring full compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements. The role involves promoting environmental awareness, monitoring and reporting site performance, managing inspections and incidents, and driving continuous improvement through audits and corrective actions. The post holder will work closely with clients, stakeholders, senior management, and the local community, while overseeing monitoring activities and mentoring junior environmental staff to deliver strong environmental and commercial outcomes for the project.
