Reporting into the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role with up to 50% UK-wide travel.

What you’ll do:

1. Provide specialist advice to EHS teams and Project leads to meet environmental and sustainability requirements.
2. Support risk management through environmental assurance regimes and audits.
3. Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
4. Help develop and maintain performance data and carbon management reports.
5. Ensure regular reviews of environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
6. Support project teams to embed sustainable practices throughout the Project Life Cycle.

Who you are:

Experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction is required.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
• ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
• Proven ability to reduce environmental impact through product lifecycle management
• Experience managing complex technical projects and change initiatives
• Full driving license and willingness for UK-wide travel
