Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste, carbon reduction, ISO14001, and legal requirements across Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialist guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability compliance.
• Support risk management with environmental assurance regimes, audits, and inspections.
• Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
• Maintain performance data and produce carbon management reports.
• Conduct reviews of environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
• Support project teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles.

Who You Are:

Experienced in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
• ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice for business operations.
• Proven ability to reduce environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure.
• Experience managing complex technical and change projects.
• Full driving license and willingness for UK-wide travel.
