Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel and is based in Warwickshire, with a hybrid working model.

What you’ll do:

• Provide specialist direction and advice to EHS teams and Project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support risk management by defining an environmental assurance regime, including risk-based audits, ensuring effective audit and assurance practices through inspections and audits.
• Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
• Develop and maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for customer and contract needs.
• Ensure regular reviews of environmental aspects and impacts of Business Units, including climate change risk assessments.
• Support Bid, Design, and Operational Teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout the Project Life Cycle.

Who you are:

You should have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
• ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice for business operations
• Experience in reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure throughout product lifecycle
• Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical and change projects
• Full driving license and flexibility for UK-wide travel
