Job Description: Senior Environmental Advisor

Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Senior Environmental Advisor will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy. You will support Business Units in meeting waste and carbon reduction goals, customer expectations, ISO 14001, and legal requirements across Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel, with an agile working environment.

What you’ll do:

• Provide specialist advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support risk management by establishing environmental assurance regimes and audit programs, ensuring effective inspections and audits.
• Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
• Help develop and maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for clients and contracts.
• Ensure regular reviews of environmental aspects and impacts within Business Units, including climate change risks.
• Support Bid, Design, and Operational Teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles.

Who you are:

You should have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within relevant industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: PIEMA
• ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
• Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice for business operations
• Proven ability to deliver tangible environmental impact reductions across product lifecycle stages
• Experience managing complex technical projects and change initiatives
• Full driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide
