Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor – Leicester | Hybrid Working

£45,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance

Responsibilities

• Lead on environmental compliance and sustainability strategy across the business's portfolio of civil engineering and utilities projects.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations; maintain accurate records and report on environmental KPIs; support continuous improvement in environmental performance.
• Provide advice and guidance to operational and project teams on environmental and sustainability matters to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Liaise with stakeholders to secure licences, maintain compliance, and promote new environmental and sustainability initiatives.
• Develop and implement environmental and sustainability strategies aligned with organisational goals and drive continuous improvement in performance.

Qualifications

• Proven environmental and sustainability experience, preferably within the utilities, civils, or related sectors.
• Degree-level qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant environmental discipline.
• Ideally, membership of a recognised professional environmental body (such as ISEP, CIEEM, or CIWEM).
• A strong commitment to excellence with the ambition to grow and develop a career within the environmental field.
