Job summary

Allianz is seeking a Business Senior Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing strategy across large programmes. The role is hybrid with offices in London, Guildford or Bournemouth and requires attendance twice weekly.

You will define testing approaches, govern testing activities, and drive governance and quality across the organisation, influencing decisions at senior levels and coordinating internal and external resources.

Qualifications

• Lead and deliver end-to-end testing across large programmes and shape testing strategy.
• Possess expertise in planning, estimation, governance, and reporting for testing.
• Ability to lead cross-location teams and manage stakeholders up to board level.
• Experience managing internal, offshore, and third-party test resources.
• Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
• Demonstrated ability to drive governance, quality standards and best practice.
• ISTQB Test Manager Advanced or equivalent certification.
• Practitioner-level Change or Project Management qualification (APM, PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire testing teams, providing clear direction and purpose.
• Own end-to-end test delivery across complex programmes, aligning with business objectives.
• Define testing strategies and act as principal testing consultant for major initiatives.
• Plan, schedule and manage all testing activities with accurate cost/time/resource estimates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders up to board level to influence decisions.
• Manage internal and external test resources including offshore and third-party suppliers.
• Embed governance, quality standards, and testing best practices across all phases.
• Report progress, risks and issues to programme boards and stakeholders.
