Job summary

Barclays is seeking an Enterprise Architect to define and mature our technology landscape from Knutsford. The role partners across Architecture, Engineering, Risk and Control to translate standards into practical guidance, training, patterns and measurable outcomes.

You will own central artefacts and act as a SME for the Standard, driving governance improvements across the stack. You will engage senior stakeholders, embed architecture governance into agile delivery, and lead teams to deliver

Experience turning strategic direction into practical delivery expectations.
Proven ability to embed governance and controls into agile delivery.
Clear architecture views with strong communication skills.
Good understanding of risk, control design and assurance.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and evolve the bank's technology architecture aligned to objectives.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams and stakeholders to share knowledge.
Lead diverse technologists to align business and technology strategies.
Assess new technologies to address business needs with problem solving.
Balance compliance, governance, security and funding in solution design.
Monitor performance and resilience of applications and document findings.
Mentor architects and support governance initiatives.
