Job summary

Kaluza is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead two GBPA domains in the Global Billing, Payments & API area. The role focuses on shaping technical and product strategy across domains, while guiding cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable billing capabilities.

You will oversee people leadership, set goals, hire, and manage performance while navigating a complex, data-centric environment. Flexible office presence in London, Bristol, or Edinburgh is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading engineering teams across multiple domains.
• Experience owning technical and product strategy across domains.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management with Product, Delivery, and engineering teams.
• Ability to diagnose systemic organisational issues with deep domain knowledge.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers toward people-leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across two GBPA domains through complex, cross-squad initiatives.
• Own technical and product strategy across both domains.
• Diagnose systemic issues with deep domain knowledge, beyond team-level problems.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders to align roadmap and trade-offs.
• Provide people-leader ownership: goal-setting, performance and hiring for teams.
• Operate in a high-integrity data domain (billing/payments) with emphasis on reliability.
