Job summary

Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join a major nuclear programme based in Warrington or Hull. This is a permanent staff position offering a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving engineering delivery across complex, high-value EPC projects within a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across major nuclear projects
  • Oversee engineering delivery in line with EPC / EPCM project requirements
  • Ensure technical quality, compliance, and adherence to nuclear regulatory standards
  • Provide leadership across Process, Mechanical, and CS&A (Civil, Structural & Architectural) disciplines
  • Drive project performance, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Interface with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
  • Support the development of engineering strategies and best practices across programmes
Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in a Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or Head of Engineering role
  • Strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: Process, Mechanical, or CS&A
  • Demonstrable experience delivering engineering on EPC / EPCM / major capital projects
  • Experience within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of engineering governance, assurance, and compliance requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong leadership and team management capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to lead within complex, safety-critical project environments
