Job summary

Oliver Bernard is partnering with a growing SaaS business to hire an Engineering Lead who will own a key product area. This hands-on, backend-leaning full-stack role involves coding, architectural decisions and mentoring junior engineers.

You’ll lead across the full engineering lifecycle, shape solutions with Product, and champion AI-native development using tools like Claude Code or Cursor in day-to-day work, while working remotely from the UK.

Qualifications

• Progress beyond pure IC work but still hands-on.
• Experience leading technically and mentoring engineers.
• Python experience would be a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering lifecycle for a product area.
• Make architectural decisions and drive engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product.
