Job summary

Rate of Pay: $124,342 – $165,615 per year

Duties
  • Design and develop high‑performance test solutions for first silicon verification, characterization, qualification, and manufacturing of precision digital and mixed‑signal products for automotive customers.
  • Design, develop, and debug multi‑site, cost‑effective test hardware/software solutions for wafer‑probe and final test during characterization, qualification, and production.
  • Implement cost‑effective methods of testing, evaluating, and troubleshooting systems and equipment throughout product development and high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Define test schematics and collaborate with layout engineers to design printed‑circuit‑board multi‑site test hardware.
  • Debug test programs, correlate production test solutions to bench measurements, and transfer solutions to manufacturing sites.
  • Engage and support manufacturing to maintain production yield and quality, improve test cost, and resolve product and test problems after release.
  • Participate in new‑product development teams and evaluate new test systems for future applications.
  • Work with Design and Systems/Applications engineering teams to develop and implement a Design‑for‑Test plan and translate tests from the simulation environment to the Automatic Test Equipment platform.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules aligned with product introduction and release.

Partial telecommute benefit (2 days per week work from home).

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Product and Test Engineer or related occupation developing automotive product test solutions for analog or mixed‑signal integrated circuits.

  • Demonstrated expertise in programming with C/C++ and scripting languages on Linux systems for analog/digital devices and products.
  • Experience designing and debugging custom printed‑circuit‑board hardware for interface to Advantest V93000 ATE.
  • Experience developing software on the Advantest V93000 ATE platform for testing state‑of‑the‑art ICs for automotive customers.
  • Experience developing functional and electrical tests for new products, including developing and simulating Verilog test cases and translating them to Advantest V93000 ATE for debugging, characterization, and manufacturing tests.
  • Experience using ExeNSIO and SAS JMP statistical analysis tools to analyze characterization and production data, generate reports for product yield monitoring, and identify cost and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Experience performing ATE and bench debugging of automotive customer returns to meet automotive quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of circuit design, silicon processing, and electronic reliability.
