Job summary

Checkatrade, the UKs leading platform for finding a tradesperson, is hiring a senior Salesforce engineer. You will design and implement high-performance solutions across Apex, LWC and classic declarative features, primarily within Sales and Service clouds.

You will collaborate with teams using Zuora, Retool, Braze CRM and Kubernetes on GCP, harness AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while safeguarding quality, and architect secure integrations via REST APIs and platform events.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Salesforce development across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Experience writing Apex, LWC components and complex Flows.
• Experience with AI-driven coding methods and architectures.
• Enterprise integrations with large data volumes and event-driven flows.

Job description

Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements:

• Solid, hands-on professional software engineering experience, including strong Salesforce development across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Salesforce DevOps.
• Experience writing clean, asynchronous Apex (triggers, batch, queueable), responsive LWC components and complex Flows, backed by solid general engineering skills beyond the platform.
• A genuine handle on AI-driven coding methods, including how to give AI models the right architectural context, schemas and constraints to produce accurate, secure, production-ready code.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integration patterns, including large data volumes, platform events and API error handling.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, change management and environment refreshes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain high-performance solutions across Apex, LWC and advanced declarative features, primarily across Sales and Service clouds.
• Work with Zuora, Retool, Braze CRM, and extend node/Typescript services hosted on Kubernetes on GCP.
• Use AI coding tools with confidence to move faster without cutting corners on quality.
• Architect secure, scalable integrations between Salesforce and other core services, including inbound and outbound REST APIs and platform event-driven workflows.
• Work alongside distributed engineering and data teams to keep data flowing cleanly and system architecture cohesive.
• Own and improve deployment pipelines spanning Salesforce and other services so releases to production are smooth, automated and reliable.
• Champion code quality by writing thorough tests, running solid code reviews, and helping others get the best out of AI-assisted development while sharing Salesforce expertise where it counts most.
