Job summary

Gleeson Homes is recruiting a Senior Engineer to support the regional technical and operations teams, driving feasibility studies, site viability reports and integration with regulatory requirements for residential development.

The role requires strong technical design experience, knowledge of highway design, sewers for adoption and NHBC standards, with leadership of consultants and coordination of on-site technical meetings.

Qualifications

Relevant qualification or strong experience in technical design and/or civil engineering.
Knowledge of highway design standards and building regulations.
Awareness of NHBC/LABC/SBD frameworks and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide technical/engineering support to land/development for feasibility studies and site viability reports.
Identify need for external consultants, agree scope, fees and timelines.
Manage consultants to ensure timely information flow and compliance with NHBC standards.
Consider commercial implications of planning, design, and civil/structural engineering aspects.
Assist in tendering for site management arrangements and ensure legal aspects of agreements.
Interact with internal teams, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to meet Building Regulations and warranty approvals.
Prepare KPI status reports for the Technical function.
Coordinate utilities designs, quotes and agreements.
Lead on site on relevant technical meetings for site infrastructure procurement and approvals.
