The Land Drainage and Flood Risk Management Team plays a vital role in protecting communities, infrastructure and the environment across the Bradford District. Working as part of Planning, Transportation and Highways within the Growth Directorate, the team delivers the Council's responsibilities as the Lead Local Flood Authority and manages the Council's reservoir assets. We work collaboratively with partner organisations and regulatory bodies, and closely engage with local communities, developers and elected members to reduce flood risk, improve resilience and support sustainable development across the district.

As a technical specialist, you will provide expert advice on reservoir safety, flood risk management, drainage design and planning matters. You will help ensure the Council meets its statutory duties as both Reservoir Owner and Lead Local Flood Authority, whilst contributing to projects that protect communities from flooding and support the district's growth ambitions.
