Ebury is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for the Payments Experience team in London. You will architect and deliver high-scale web applications, owning features end-to-end from code to deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building high-performance, client-facing web applications.
• Backend with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and RESTful APIs.
• Frontend with TypeScript, React, Jest, Storybook; Micro-Frontends a bonus.
• DevOps & Cloud with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for IaC.
• Excellent spoken and written English; collaborative across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the next-generation platform channels with feature delivery and stability.
• Lead service and component design through RFC processes.
• Own end-to-end responsibilities from local code and containers to CI/CD & monitoring.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting clean code and testability.

Senior Fullstack Engineer – Payments Experience Location: London (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer in our Payments Experience (PayE) team, you won’t just write code–you’ll architect the high-scale web applications and platform tooling that enable our entire engineering org to ship fast, reliable features.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Scale the Core: Architect and evolve our next-generation platform channels, balancing new feature delivery with long-term system stability.
• Drive Architecture: Lead service and component design through our collaborative Request for Comments (RFC) process.
• True Ownership: Live the "you build it, you run it" ethos–owning everything from local code and containerization to CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring.
• Elevate the Team: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture focused on clean code, testability, and continuous delivery.

What You’ll Bring

• Track Record: 5+ years building high-performance, client-facing web applications.
• Backend Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and secure RESTful APIs.
• Frontend Proficiency: Mastery of TypeScript, React, Jest, and Storybook. (Experience with Micro-Frontends is a massive bonus).
• DevOps & Cloud: Comfort with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Engineering Mindset: Strong grasp of system design, scalable integrations, and fundamental algorithms/patterns.
• Collaboration: Excellent spoken and written English, ready to work seamlessly across international teams.
