Job summary

Aerials Ltd in London and the South East is seeking a Senior Engineer - Multi Skilled to join the installation team and lead on-site delivery of low voltage systems including CCTV, door entry, access control, AV and fire life safety.

You will own on-site time management, supervise junior engineers, coordinate with clients, maintain safety standards and provide detailed reports via SIMPRO. The role requires a proactive, quality-driven professional working on busy construction sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior installation engineer role.
  • Strong experience across multiple low voltage systems (CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry, AV).
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient with technical drawings and basic computing.

Responsibilities

  • Install equipment per industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead by example on site and maintain high workmanship standards.
  • Support junior engineers and improve site productivity and quality.
  • Manage company van inventory and onsite organisation.
  • Report progress on live projects and ensure safe working practices.

Job description

We are small family run business who offer specialist system installation services to the construction industry, specifically working in the new build housing sector. We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Multi Skilled on a Full time basis, to work within our installation team delivering a range of low voltage specialist systems such as:

CCTV Systems

Door Entry & Access Control Systems

AV Systems

Fire and Life Safety Systems

Reporting to the Operations Manager successful candidates will ultimately be responsible for taking ownership of their own time on site and working towards delivering projects on time and to our high quality of standards and workmanship, while also supporting and guiding other engineers where required.

We are looking for an energetic and confident individual who is ready to take on a new challenge and work within a growing team of professionals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Installation of equipment and materials as per industry and British standards

Leading by example on site and maintaining high standards of workmanship

Supporting junior engineers and improving site productivity and quality

Management inventory of and organisation of company Van

Ensure all work carried out is of a high quality and standard

To follow safe working procedures and operating procedures

To follow all compliance procedures

To enter correct and detailed reports on our SIMPRO mobile app system

To work safely following all RAMS and correct use of provided PPE

Updating progress trackers for live projects

Liaising with clients and site teams to provide progress updates

Identifying issues early and supporting fault finding and resolution on site

Providing system handover and training to clients

Ensuring your time is managed efficiently and tasks are prioritised correctly on site

Provide excellent Customer Service to exceed the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.

Supporting and developing less experienced engineers on site

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Experience working in a similar senior installation engineer position (minimum 5 years+)

Strong experience across multiple low voltage systems (IRS/Fibre IRS, CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and AV)

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with basic computing functions

Competent and experienced with working with technical drawings

Confident working independently on live construction sites and managing priorities

Expected Qualifications

As a minimum we expect engineers to hold a current ECS Card in addition to other manufacturer and sector specific accreditations.

Future Developments and Opportunities

Training and supervision would be provided but it is expected that the successful candidate would continually increase their market and technical competence on their own initiative.

Development from the initial role could be driven by the successful candidate as the company grows to progress to Commissioning and Management roles.

What's on Offer

This is a Full time field based position working primarily in London and the South east.

Working hours to be 6.30am-4pm Monday to Friday although some flexibility may be required

20 days holiday + Bank Holidays + extra day for birthday

Excellent Overtime rates to boost your earnings x1.5 on Saturdays, x2 on Sundays
